Last week we posted about Diner's custom Chrome 'Avenue Lo' that was equipped with our front 'C.B.3+' carbon wheel:

The 'plus' is a variant of our C.B.3 wheel offering another kind of aerodynamic due to it's Shuriken like aesthetics, it also differs from the 'C.B.3' in that the spokes themselves are thicker...but I am sure you could figure that out yourself.

Now here are the facts for those of you who care enough:

Size: 700c
Spec: Clincher, Track
Finish: 3K Mat Finish
Spacing: Front /100mm, Rear /120mm
Weight: 900g ±30g(Front)
Rim Height: 50mm
Rim Width: 23mm(Outside)

Add the 'C.B.3+' to your bike today for ¥86,400

The use of carbon fiber is taken further with Diner's original carbon bull horn handle bars *phew*...

These handle bars also offer improved aerodynamics and of course major weight reduction; weighing just 240g and costing just ¥10,800 ...

Why not go that bit much further and start with our 'Avenue Lo' Carbon edition for just ¥108,000

In other news I visited my friends at the store POT OF GOLD last Friday evening...

It was actually for the reception party of designers FELT & H33M

Felt as a brand is relatively new to me but instantly got a feel for designer Kosta's vibe and some of the original pieces part of his crew were rocking...

I guess though I have known H33M for a while now, actually since designer Kahim first came to Tokyo a couple of years back, but this time he was the star of the show...

With a lovely selection of pieces exclusive for Tokyo...

Kahim also has one of the greatest smiles known to mankind...

I've been digging a lot of music in recent times and came across this gem:

I particularly like the track 'I know' for the simple yet slightly profound message it holds:

Which made for good BGM material while reading about ...

Catch you all on the next update!

So we have been posting a bit of other's content to our instagram; thank you to everyone for continuously posting up our bikes, we will continue to share the best posts we find like these one's below:

Thank you Diner

Thank you Brotures Kichijoji

I've always liked how Diner takes pictures of customers who purchase their bikes, and from time to time I shive through them to see how our bikes have been moving:

Our 2016 mat black 'Avenue' here with a basket in front, making it a slick urban carrier vehicle:

Not sure who is better looking in this snap our 2017 'Avenue' in mint or the buyer:

This gentleman was holding back nothing here with his mat black 'Avenue Lo' with front 'C.B.3' 3 spoke carbon wheel:

Keep the love coming and we will continue to share!

For me the biggest news of 2017 thus far is that Funkineven will return to Tokyo and he will be playing at KOARA:

Just in case you need reminding who Steven Julien aka Funkineven is...

He is the man who brought us this visually stunning masterpiece of 2016, a film to accompany the release of his full length LP 'Fallen':

You can follow his jet setting across the world via his instagram:

He is the mastermind behind Apron Records, hands down my favorite and dare I say one of most important labels in our current day; the reason why I personally think this, is because the music creates a real "music first" culture that is global, I have struck up so many conversations with random people on the subject of music, and as soon we find out we both know about 'Apron'...it's always like *CLICK*,  the different artists he has been releasing have all been interstella...with the next coming release being this one via 'Inverted Audio':

You find most of the releases on the Apron Bandcamp:

The party will be just in time for the latest release 'Apron 31':

Which is by JMS KHOSAH:

Don't sleep!

Been following our instagram? Well we have been focusing intently on our 2017 'Avenue' bikes and this week you would have seen our grey model the most.

Here is a much a closer look at one specific color... grey being such a sensible color that it gives this 'Avenue' an air of sophistication or sensibility:

Further complimented by the silver finishings and black saddle and handle bars but I do feel that... black parts would also be a good match for this bike thought in my opinion, so look forward to custom action from myself in the future.

But again the silver parts...

Also do you notice how the brake wire is a different color?

Also we are moving away from mat to gloss this year... which I think was a wise decision, how about you?:

In another news I have been working on something I like to call W.A.C.C...

I cannot disclose in full detail what W.A.C.C is exactly but we will be active soon!

My project is purely about exploring the man mysteries inside of W.A ... for this first run away... so here I am at one of W.A gems.

Our first drop of Long sleeve tees will be available in White:

Red:

Black:

If you want more information please contact us waccmembers@gmail.com....

Other than that I have been brought some blessing from my homeland (and further)...

My body is going to be shining and smelling really good for the rest of the year I guess, but more importantly I was given this...

Any well that could leave my breath quite rugged...I was also blessed with my favorite toothpase in the world!

Never being one to leave you in the lurch... here are some tunes performed live at the Tate by our friends Brassfoot and Lord Tusk...:

So if you have been following my movements recently you may have noticed that I have been pushing my latest weekly party 'Funktion'. I've posted about this before but I guess that was some time ago, so allow me to delve even further and tickle my ego at the sametime... growing up I have always loved Funk and Soul music but specifically from the late 70's and 80's a time when in the UK boogie funk, soul and rare grooves had a good amount of air time on stations like Horizon FM...

At a time when people use to look a bit like this:

But since this is essentially a bicycle brand page... like this:

Anyway I use to grow up around a lot of these sounds...and growing up in London the closest thing we had to the sounds coming out of the states came largely from this label here... Ensign

Who brought me one of my all time favorites here...

I guess my influences have come out of an era where things were done with more sophistication and less complication, rituals I am trying to engage in more frequently this year ...

The flyers will for now follow the theme of cars that I pretty much grew coveting... like the

164

and the ...GTA Alpine

And now the RX-7...

Come and feel the funk for yourself this Thursday at Trump Tokyo...

In the mean time i'll leave you in the capable hands of the master Dam-Funk...

And leave you with this...

Our 2017 'Avenue' line is coming real soon..so we thought to give you a quick a preview via this blog post.

First and foremost if you have been following our instagram you would have noticed the return of mint green 'Avenue':

With a gloss finish that really allows our logo to stand-out:

Thats not all though this year all our 'Avenue' bikes have a silver finish that really drive home that slightly timeless vintage look to it.

That's not all though we have thought very carefully about small ways in which to improve our bikes and for the 'Avenue' we have made some adjustments in parts to make your ride just that bit better.  The obvious difference you will notice is with the shape of the handles bars?

It's our believe that the silver finish goes well with our new color line up also...

1) Blue - a slight metallic blue at that which also gives our logo a good contrast... so you're bound to make a statement when you are seen on this thing.

2) Gray - A more subtle color that will look great with black parts and also silver parts.

You can feel free to customize our bikes at anytime but as I see things right now...our 'Avenue' in it's complete form looks wonderful...oh and the price is still the same - ¥59,400!!!

Personally I have been quite busy myself but have been enjoying the opportunities I have been receiving this year a lot myself ... like being a part of this shoot featuring the Magic Stick team.

Which was set at the lovely new bar Bloody Angle...if you know then you know.

The shoot also allowed me to obtain these...

We'll be back more regularly from next week on...until then enjoy your weekend!
