Well I thought it a good idea to take a small break from posting our fine selection of bikes on our instagram; this year we will strive to bring you slightly more diverse contents (heads heads don't worry we still got you)...

So last week Wednesday we arranged to go out for a meal and all that comes with it, the location was Dogenzaka in Shibuya...*cue music*:

Arriving to the restaurant we obviously had to find parking, and to my pleasant surprise...

Where we choose to park we also found Koara's Cartel Bike, so I was looking around thinking to myself where could they be plotted?

Anyway it made for a strong presence to have all three custom bikes together, the other being this one:

So parked up and entered the building...the food in this spot was on point, but this one young salary man had a lily liver and was super wasted... like it was the end of the Ultra Festival; and keeping true to ultra fashion he pucked right outside the toilet...which is close to where we were sitting and some puke fragments got airborned ...so pissed and before we could even claim he dipped out... I reverse judgement (or articulating it.)

We finished the meal and I decided to burn of some of the calories:

The camera man could not ride his bike so he had our one member of our party to push it along, she really enjoyed just holding the bike but was a bit to scared to ride it...I doubt her legs would have reached the pedals anyway.

Not wanting to make anyone feel left out I pushed my bike a long too:

Making everybody happy...

FIN.

Taking time to send a big congratulations to Mexicali on their 3rd anniverysary!!!

Of course I had to spin them some tunes...

Even Andre Mcleod got involved in the action...

Since we've already made so many good memories with the Mexicali...

So once again want to thank you all and wish you another year (but also many years after) of success!

See you all soon!

Coming to you on this unusually warm Friday, it is the Friday blog update...actually this week has been a busy one meaning we only got one update for you...sorry!

So let me get straight into it - A white 'Avenue Lo' carbon fork custom, that together comes out quite colorful...or more accurately with a vartiety of shades.

White, silver greys, black and blue ...

The black I am attributing to our carbon forks, that offer a major weight reduction as well as improved aerodynamics:

Add a pair to your bike today for -¥21,600

The silver greys we get from the rear wheel and the crank set...

Here using Sugino's zen ... many would agree that this is one of the best cranksets on the market; which helps to really transfer power from your legs to the wheel:

The blue simply comes from Michelin's track pro tire...which they offer in a variety of colors actually...

However no point in having all these parts if you don't have the a bike to fit them on, why not make that bike be our 'Avenue Lo' in mat white?

It really seems like Asakusa has been calling me, both to DJ and now model...the DJ thing we'll touch on again next week, but last Monday our friends at Bal called on me for another shoot...an actual video shoot...far different from what we did last time...

bal 2016 AW image movie from baloriginal on Vimeo.

The timing we arrived in Asakusa allowed me to capture this:

We hit a few locations but once again...this one place resonated with me again:

Big shout out to the man Alec ... we are some winter soldiers for real as it was freezing!!!

More local adventures coming our way this Saturday... the location being GINZA:

Never being one to leave you hanging here is some tuneage for you to kick off your weekend...

If you know my tumblr then you'll know I have turned into a little bit of an analogue paparazzi since about 2014, being inspired by the likes of Frank book JP... to capture those moments on an analogue format - which I could write a whole essay about... but for now I will allow you to simply observe...

35mm:

iPhone 6s:

Personally one of those pictures contains much more feeling than the other... do you remember the blog post I made about a particular shoot we did with Poweredby.Tokyo

Well during that shoot I took time out to grab some pictures on a disposable camera I had in my possession for some months (I like to take my time to use them so as to forget what I captured), and the results...

A soon to be gone Gundam X One of my fingers:

The final shot of the night as captured by Kateb Habib:

Yeh? So what I only took two pictures during that shoot? You do know that I was the actual subject of the camera...you can't be the main actor and camera man at the same time.

Some other gems that are slightly bike related from the film roll...

My bike ready for action some where in Yotsuya:

And this picture I took riding the streets of Tokyo, where I was obviously trying to capture the sun rays hidden behind those clouds:

You can find more via my tumblr...I won't link it though.

From film we move onto paper, as some months back I was apparently captured by GINZA MAGAZINE doing my best to pretend my picture was not being taken with Yoppi-san:

Oh yeah and this year is definitely about positivity, you know not allowing anything outside of yourself affect the way you feel, but when you do feel them bad vibes coming on just remember...

Failing that ...remember the beginnings of mental alchemy start with the realization...IN

Wrapping up this blog update, I will leave you in the capable hands of BLACK VOID SMITH:

Picture via Hands Hidden

Mr.Smith was majorly a part of London's undergound culture...but we cannot really go into that here, but I do remember listening to his crew's live rap mixtape as a teenager, which ironically was recorded at Brassfoot's house back in the day. So it's no wonder this release will be coming via the NCA imprint:

And as with all their releases gets the visual treatment:

The tape is out soon via their bandcamp and will no doubt sell out... be fast or be a hologram:

This update I am sharing with you a bike I previously posted on our blog around christmas last year but wanted to have another look at:

Our 'Avenue Lo' is our trademark model due is front slopping 'pursuit' style frame... the idea coming from the Olympic pursuit track event like this:

Notice how the rider's bikes are built so that they have to lean forward?

Notice how our 'Avenue Lo' is too?

And on this custom we simply added Diner's original aluminium wheel set:

Plus these swept back riser handle bars by Nitto:

The result as you know is ...

The starting point is our 'Avenue Lo' in mat black - ¥79,920 (Incl Tax)

I'd also like to congratulate our newest dealer and store 'FAVUS' on their opening!

Obviously I passed by their store last Saturday to join their store opening party...

Where I brought this legend of a laptop to play some tunes for them all...

Also meet with old and new friends..

When ever you have a celebration I guess it's not complete with out bubbles...

And pizza?

Our bikes?

Congratulations to all the shop staff...

To sign out I am going to leave you with a song, my song of the moment so as to speak... enjoy!

Well this week we have been pushing Cartel's pink 'rue' that bit extra, due to that special deal at Diner, and if you follow our instagram you would have seen this snap:

With our added "C.B.3" wheels we expect she'll be going that bit more faster.

I've always loved the 'Cartel' logo - can you guess where we got the inspiration from?

The C.B.3 wheel lightens the bike, improves aerodynamics and looks sleek all at the same time... but you knew that already didn't you?

Save some time today!

Once a month I get to DJ in Asakusa... and since the SENSOUJI temple is quite manic in the day time, thought I would take time out from the party to go say some more prayers for 2017.

In the middle of night you really get to appreciate the scale of this holy ground...it's pretty big.

You'll also get to notice the finer details of the temple such as the level of craftmanship that obviously went into building this site...without the distraction of tourists, stalls and randoms you get to appreciate it a whole lot more.

Making great memories in 2017...

Talking of memories  one of my favorite places to make memories is...

Hint...

Yes Koara is it the drinks? The sound system? The darkened dance floor? The bathroom? I dunno but it sure as hell does have an allure...

Why not come and feel the vibes with us tomorrow night at 'is-ness' ...?

Also have to thank you all for the amount of love you have been showing us on Instagram by taking pictures of our bikes and tagging us... THANK YOU.

Big shout out to this user...always coming with the scenic vibes.

Random point here... my movie of the week has been this:

You probably won't like it though...

And btw if you are in the Shonan area...come and join us tomorrow for this...
